TRANSMISSION
SYSTEM
A.
Introduction
The
transmission system is functioning system for torque conversion and
speed from engine to torque and
different speeds and to be forwarded to the final drive. This conversion changes the high rotation speed to
be lower but more powerful, or vice versa. In the transmission there are two
types, first is automatic transmission and the second is manual transmission.

Content
In
the transmission system there are two types, that is:
1.
Automatic
Transmission System
a)
Description
Automatic
trasnmission system is a transmission system
that
performs acceleration gears automatically.
To change the speed level on the automatic transmission system is used
automatic string oil transmission mechanism and pressure.
b)
Continuosly
Variable Transmission (CVT)
Continuosly
variable transmission is automatic speed shift in accordance with engine
rotation. This system does not use transmission gear, but instead uses 2
pulleys and belt or V-belt.
2.
Manual Transmission System
a)
Description
The manual transmission system is a
transmission system which requires the driver’s assistance to manually move the
speed. This system uses a clutch operated by the driver to adjust the torque
transfer from the engine to the transmission.
b)
Main component of manual transmission system
-
Shift fork, it functions as a fork shift fork
-
-
Input shaft, it function to continue the spin of the
clutch to the transmission / counter gear.
-
Output shaft, it function to forward the spin from
transmission to propeller shaft.
-
Accelaration gear, it serves to change the moment
generated by the machine in accordance with the needs of the engine load and
road conditions
